Friday!

Today was hectic...It was my workplace's 100th birthday, and we had about 300 people coming through, and watching us intently while we worked. I think I have performance anxiety.  All I wanted to do was go hide in my boss's office.  Thank goodness he let us go home early today. All in all...an interesting experience!

As we all know, Monday generally sucks. Around 2 PM after screwing up everything I touched, I finally lost my marbles.  I was getting up to go grab some supplies, when I noticed the bandage on my foot flapping around in the wind. Which, obviously caused me to start laughing hysterically.  So then went into a back corner to just let it out, and wound up spilling lollipop spit all over the floor. When I turned around, of course, boss #2 is standing ominously behind me, arms crossed... and then laughs, shakes his head, and walks away. He already thought I was insane though, nothing lost. I then proceeded to wipe up my cherry flavored puddle, and sulked back to my table.

Friday Favorites!

Ok, here are the most wonderful/wacky things I have found this week...

Pretty much everything from this shop.  So creepy, yet wonderful. I only wish I would have thought of putting false teeth in stuffed animals first.

These rings are SO AWESOME! I want/ need to own several. Via Seahag and Walrus. Which is also probably the best shop name ever.

This easy, cute DIY from The Hairpin.  Finally...a use for all those wrappings from Victoria's Secret.

Stick on nail polish from Target. I've had these on my nails for a month now...they last about 2 weeks with minimal chipping! And, they are impossible to get off with non-acetone nail polish remover! 

Now, a glass of lemonade is calling my name. 

Wacky Wednesday?

So, I'm a little late on posting the events of the weekend, alas. Sunday, I helped my mom "garden" which consisted of putting some plants in pots, and sticking them up on the balcony.

I decided to re-home my old decrepit basil, he seems to like it outside. I now have a much stockier plant in the kitchen window.

Can't forget the gnome...

On the 4th, I found this awesome calender (for free!), via Calender of the Month Club! Though, mine looks a lot lumpier than their example. I would recommend using thick printer paper.

And last but not least, cats making stupid faces. Wacky Wednesday!

Over and Out!

Great North Woods.

Today I finally dragged out my camera from the dark depths of my closet, and brought it with me on a trip to my favorite place, the state park. Around 10AM is the best time to go, not another soul on the road.

This building has always creeped me out, I don't know what it is, but it just looks so ominous... even with the cheery summer light.

This is one of my favorite places in the park, the Pioneer Cemetery. I've been in there a few times, and of those few times, I, and everyone I was with has run out screaming. The place is haunted! The first time I went it was dark and as we were walking in, we heard quiet 20's-ish music, glasses clinking, and laughter. Need I remind you, this is in a state park. No one around for miles! Creepy. I still love it though.

And here is the subject of my test run, to see if I remembered how to operate a camera. Cute isn't he!

Bucket List

I think a semi-appropriate introduction will have to be my bucket list.  I've been meaning to get it together for awhile now. So, no time like the present!


1.  Graduate from College.
     -Though it may take 6 years, a few major changes, and several mid-mid-life crises to finish my      bachelor's, I will get through it eventually. Then, the next step is getting into a good med school! The fun never ends!

2. Play with a baby lion/tiger.
    -Just once! Please!

3. Find my Passion.
    -I am certain that there is something out there that I will love, and enjoy doing through my golden years.  I will find it eventually, even if I have to go through many failed hobbies/ take the wrong classes to find it.

4. Ride in a Delorean!

5. Retire to Costa Rica.

    -A pink house would be nice.

6. Garden.
    -I would love to have a garden that can completely sustain me, and whatever family I may have.

7.  Go on a Safari.
     - Yes, I will be wearing the stereotypical fashion-y "safari outfit".

8. Ride on a Motorcycle.
    -I actually may be crossing this one off tomorrow!

9. Become Fluent in at Least 3 Languages.
    -I'm halfway there with Spanish, the other two are yet to be determined! We'll see where I end up.

10. Buy a Boat.
      -And actually use it.

12. Travel.
      -Everywhere.

13. Get Pilot's License.
